A few isolated showers are possible as early as midnight Sunday in the Shoals with showers becoming more numerous by mid morning. Expect a fairly wet day with afternoon highs in the low to middle 50s and a breezy south wind. Rain will continue into Sunday evening and taper off during the overnight hours.
Rainfall totals will likely be around 1 inch areawide by Monday morning.
As the colder air moves in early Monday a few snowflakes are possible. Temperatures will be in the upper 20s around sunrise Monday morning. Right now, the window for snow looks too brief for any major accumulations or travel problems but we’ll be monitoring the threat for a few isolated slick spots on the morning commute.
Cloud cover will slowly clear on Monday with a breezy north wind and temperatures only maxing out in the upper 30s. Sunshine returns on Tuesday.
