We're tracking a developing storm system along the Gulf Coast today. Clouds have overspread the area and some rain will arrive this afternoon. This storm system will just brush by north Alabama and southern Tennessee and isn't likely to dump much rain in our area.
Some showers or light rain will affect areas mainly south of the Tennessee River this afternoon. Here's WAFF 48 Pinpoint Predictor at 3pm.
If you live in Cullman, Marshall or Dekalb County you have the best chance at getting wet.
The picture by 10pm isn't much different.
Once again the best rain chances lie across Cullman, Marshall and Dekalb counties.
Rain amounts look to be on the light side, averaging around .10-.20" through midnight.
The weekend looks warmer and mostly dry with just a slim shower chance on Sunday. Temperatures will bounce back into the 60s Saturday and Sunday!
