We'll maintain the status quo again today. Temperatures will be a little warm for mid-October with generally sunny and dry weather through this afternoon. Today's highs in the low 80s are a few degrees above our averages in the mid 70s for this time of year.
A change in the weather is on the way for mid to late week. We're tracking a cold front moving through the Rockies today that will arrive in our area Wednesday into Thursday. We'll see some rain out of it followed by cooler weather as we end the week and head through the weekend.
A few showers could arrive by Tuesday evening, but the better rain chances won't push in until Wednesday morning.
Rain chances aren't overly impressive and will likely wind down sometime late Wednesday or early Thursday.
Cooler air arrives as the the rain ends with temperatures this weekend much more fall-like. Highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s with overnight lows in the 40s. At least one of the long range computer model suggests a chance for rain Saturday, but this is by no means set in stone. We'll keep a low end rain chance in the forecast for now until the outlook gets a little clearer.
