The threat for heavy rain will be with us Wednesday - Friday. Right now three of the major forecast models continue to indicate the heaviest rain will fall Wednesday into Friday afternoon. There will be a few breaks but the exact amount does vary with each forecast model. The only consistency is that they show the heaviest rainfall totals between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon are along and east of I-65. We will continue to keep you updated on this potential. If some areas do get over three inches of rain in a 24hr period will could have some flash flooding issues. The primary area for the heavy rain will be along a stalled frontal boundary that will setup later this week across the Tennessee Valley. All of the models show less rainfall west of I-65.
