Flood Watches are in effect across north Alabama and southern Tennessee this weekend. 2" to as much as 4" of rain may fall over the weekend as a cold front and upper level low pressure system pass through the area. The ground is already very wet from recent rainfall and many streams and creeks are running high. It won't take much additional rain to cause flooding issues.
Here's how much rain WAFF 48 Pinpoint Predictor is forecasting through sunrise Monday.
Most of us will see at least 2" of rain and some spots could see up to 4". 1.5" to 2.5" of these totals will come Friday night into Saturday. Additional rain Saturday night through Sunday night will add about another inch in most areas.
