As expected, it was a soggy and dreary Easter Sunday. The rain showers have tapered off and we’ll dry out overnight. As of 9pm, the clouds were already starting to thin out across much of central AL and even some clearing in NW Alabama.
With nearly calm winds and the recent rainfall, some dense fog is likely for the Monday morning commute.
The fog will quickly burn off once the sun rises. Some clouds will start to roll in by the afternoon as a strong cold front approaches the area. Temperatures will peak near 70°. A few spotty, light showers are possible in the afternoon, but most will stay dry.
This cold front will bring in unseasonably cool temperatures for the mid-week. Our next substantial chance for rain arrives by Thursday.
Make sure to check out the foggy conditions before you head out the door in the morning with Meteorologist Jeff Castle on WAFF48 News Today starting at 4:30am.
