We're tracking a series of cold fronts heading into the Valley. The first will slide through today bringing a chance for spotty showers. The second will arrive tonight and tomorrow bringing the chance for some light wintry weather and bitterly cold temps.
Some light spotty, hit or miss showers are possible from around lunchtime through the evening commute today. Under partly cloudy skies, temperatures will climb into the mid 50s.
We'll be dry tonight with mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the upper 20s. A cold, dry airmass will start to filter in throughout the day Saturday. It will be a fairly raw day with highs struggling to get out of the 30s, a steady northwest breezy, and partly to mostly cloudy skies. A few flurries or light snow showers are possible during the day Saturday. Little to no accumulation is expected and no travel problems are anticipated.
The dry, arctic air settles into the southeast by Sunday morning.
Fortunately, plenty of sunshine will take temps into the mid 40s Sunday afternoon. A warm up is expected for the new work week along with several rain chances.
