The severe threat is over for the Tenneessee Valley. It was an active morning as a strong to severe squall line moved across the region. We had several reports, including some minor damage from gusty stright line winds, and some small hail.
Some lingering rain or showers will hang around this afternoon as temperatures quickly fall. We started out the morning in the 70s and fell to the mid 50s by 8am.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for north Alabama and southern middle Tennessee as breezy west winds continue this afternoon.
Chilly, but quiet weather arrives for the remainder of the week. Highs Thursday and Friday will only be in the low to mid 40s with lows in the 20s.
