The freezing rain advisories were cancelled early this morning as temperatures struggled to fall and moisture was lacking.
We started this morning with temperatures in the mid 30s to low 40s.
Dewpoints across the Valley started in the teens and were slow to climb. By around 9am, West Alabama was finally seeing some decent moisture.
Rain showers remain spotty but are expected to become more scattered by around midday to early afternoon.
We'll dry out this evening through the weekend, with the exception of a stray shower Sunday. Temperatures will be chilly, near average.
Our attention next week will be on the Tuesday/Wednesday time frame as we track out next storm system. It's still a little early to talk about severe weather but some models are hinting at a strong line of storms.
Have a great day!
