Keep that umbrella handy all weekend. Spotty showers and storms will continue to remain in our forecast for not only the weekend but through next week as well.
An upper-level ridge will push west and allow disturbances to rotate through our atmosphere for the next couple of days. And with this high pressure out of here, a trough of low pressure moves in and allows a cold front to dip south.
This front will increase rain chances around the Valley for both Monday and Tuesday. Not only that, this front stalls here in our area and keeps the chances for showers and storms throughout Northern Alabama and Southern Tennessee into late next week.
But wait...there's more! The front also will bring cooler air with it and knock these really hot days out of the ball park. Temperatures will react to the front and settle back down in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees Tuesday through next Friday. This is about where we should be for this time of the year.
