We are tracking a developing storm system to our west that will continue to become better organized and track towards the Heart of the Valley Tuesday afternoon. Ahead of this storm system southerly winds have brought back the humidity and temperatures near 60 degrees. Overnight tonight another area of scattered showers will move through and temperatures will hold in the lower to middle 50s.
Tuesday the rain will increase during the late afternoon hours. Thunderstorms with heavy rain will move in from west to east. Heavy rainfall and flash flooding will be the primary concern but some thunderstorms could also produce isolated wind damage with wind gusts 45 to 55mph. The rain will come to an end around Midnight and a few flurries could fly as the cold air of winter returns.
Temperatures will be around 60 for Tuesday afternoon and evening but a strong cold front will move through around 11pm. Behind this front temperatures will drop quickly and a strong northwest wind will send the wind chill into the teens early Wednesday morning.
